About Us
AliYah Academy is recognized by the Tennessee Department of Education as a “Category IV Church-Related School.” We are in affiliation with the Hebraic Roots Fellowship “Yisrael Yachad.” AliYah Academy is a member of the Tennessee Association of Church Related Schools; Home School Legal Defense Association; Tennessee Home Educators Association; and local Support Groups. We were founded as an umbrella for homeschoolers.
AliYah means “to rise up” in Hebrew. Our beliefs are centered around the Hebraic Roots of our Judeo-Christian faith. We are non-denominational and we welcome any homeschooling family who subscribes to the ideals of the Scriptures. “Love one another” We do not require a Statement of Faith but instead recognize that our relationship with our Creator is a journey; it cannot be defined and may look different for each family.
We at AliYah Academy are committed to the Biblical principle that education begins with parents teaching their own children. Our Creator has entrusted children first and foremost into the care of families. It is parents/guardians who are primarily and ultimately responsible to our Father in Heaven for the training up and education of their children.
“Train up a child in the way that he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.” Proverbs 22:6.
As a member of AliYah Academy you the parent/guardian are the teacher and a satellite school of AliYah Academy. You have the freedom to choose the curriculum and style of teaching for your children. You pick your courses, record the grades and report them to us. We will maintain those records indefinitely for you and upon graduation your child will receive an official transcript and diploma from AliYah Academy.
Testing is not required by AliYah Academy, however we can recommend testing sites if you desire testing to be part of your homeschool plan.
AliYah Academy is not funded by federal funds. We are a non-profit school that is funded by our member families. We also receive and greatly appreciate private donations and grants. We thank you for your support.
If you would like to support the freedom to homeschool through AliYah Academy by becoming a member, we would love to serve you, we also accept free will offerings and tax deductible donations. You will be supporting our schools vision and helping to make our mission possible.
Thank you from all the AliYah Academy Staff for helping to make homeschooling possible for more families!
We are registered as “Yisrael Yachad – AliYah Academy” school organization tax exempt as per 501(c)3
Our Vision
Fundamentally we believe it is a parent or guardian’s primary calling to “Train up a child in the way they should go.” What we do is provide flexible support, resources, and opportunities so families can do this with excellence.
Our Mission
We strive to glorify the GOD of the Bible, support families as the cornerstone of society, and inspire and encourage students to think though the lens of Biblical principles to raise up a generation that will restore our country, to once again to be united under GOD.
About AliYah Academy
Homeschool Resource Center
The AliYah Academy Homeschool Resource Center is a non-profit organization affiliated with the umbrella school AliYah Academy and the fellowship Yisrael Yachad. The Homeschool Resource Center was established to serve families in the community and to provide support and education about homeschooling. Yearly registration with AliYah Academy umbrella school is required to sign up for events at the Homeschool Resource Center. Brain training, parent workshops, and other open house events are open to the public and do not require membership. Brain Training has separate fees.
AliYah Academy does not take federal funding. We are solely funded by members like you and private donations.
“AliYah Academy firmly believes that we are all created in God’s image as one human race with 2 genders, we are all unique and different. We have never, and do not plan to require students, families, faculty, or staff to disclose “race” on any form and therefore do not discriminate against any person based on their skin tone, or national or ethnic origin. All the rights, privileges, programs, and activities generally accorded are made available to all students at the school. Neither does it discriminate on the basis of skin tone, national, or ethnic origin in administration of its educational policies, admissions policies, or other school-administered programs that we may have.”
We are non-denominational and welcome families of all beliefs, however, you can expect that any event or class at the Homeschool Resource Center will be in line with a biblically Judeo-Christian worldview. In order to provide a wholesome, biblical atmosphere for our families and AliYah Academy staff we require that families respect the beliefs of our fellowship while in the building. We in no way require you to continue these practices outside of our building and feel that they do not infringe on your right to have your own beliefs. They do however show love to those who worship here.
